What is EF Coaching?

EF Coaching (executive function coaching) is support that takes into account the whole person and their unique learning differences as they impact the social/emotional, educational, physical and cognitive areas of life.

Targeted for middle school through high school, EF coaching focuses on academic skills (as listed above) as well as goal development and self-esteem building to serve the individual in all facets of their life. In essence, teaching them how to “do” school or life using strategies and systems necessary to find success within the confines of their learning differences.

As a special educator, Annika has a strong background in several learning differences and their impact not only on academic work, but also on the clients life and everyday tasks. EF coaching helps to support the client in and out of a classroom to develop their autonomy in all areas of their life as they learn to manage their learning differences.

Learning differences like ADHD, Dyslexia, and language disorders impact executive function (EF) skills from time management to task completion as well as working with others in a public setting (i.e. school & work) and formulating thoughts and feelings in a congruent and effective way to communicate with others.

Support offers strategies and skills to help them become successful in communication, self advocacy and structured academic and work environments. Annika helps to build a persons academic skills AND self-confidence. The focus is to always encourage autonomy, self-confidence, and a love of learning.
